Date-based Auto Response Functionality

 Travelling? Or planning to take a break from work? When you are away, people will still be writing to you. They may follow up repeatedly if they do not get a response to the first email or worse still, may even consider your silence to be unprofessional.

How do you let them know that you will attend to their emails after you get back? Postmaster Enterprise can help! Do you know that PostMaster Enterprise allows you to inform people that you are unable to attend to their emails as you are away from your workplace?
Just use the Date-based Auto Response feature that allows you to:
  • Reply: Send a standard response to all incoming email
  • Select dates: Set the date from and the date until which you want the auto response to be sent
  • Choose subject line: Reply with a new subject line or use that of the incoming email
  • Explain: Add a brief, uniform message in your response for all the senders
  • Avoid repetition: Use the Smart Mode option to ensure that auto responses are not sent over and over again, to emails from the same address

Finally, you can breathe easy for senders will no longer wonder why you have not bothered to reply. This feature will also help both them and you schedule events or plan the course of action better.

•    To configure Date Based Auto Response:
  1. Log in to PostMaster Enterprise.
  2. On the top-right corner of the Home Page, click the WebMail button.
  3. From the left pane, select Options>>Preferences. The following screen is displayed.
  4. In the Auto Response section, select the Enable Auto Response check box to activate Auto Response mechanism for incoming emails.
  5. Select the Smart Mode check box to block response to emails from the same address within twenty-four hours.
  6. Select the date, month and year from the Date From drop-down lists, to set the date from which an auto response email must be sent for all incoming email.
  7. Select the date, month and year from the Date Till drop-down lists, to set the date until which an auto response email must be sent for all incoming email.
  8. Enter the appropriate details in the Subject Text text box or leave it blank to send the response with the subject line of the received email.
  9. Enter an appropriate message in the AutoMessage Text text box.
  10. Click the Submit button to save the changes.
