Job Description

Tasks & responsibilities

• The role of Technical Architect - Web Development wil involve designing, developing, implementing and managing the QuantumLink web services and systems programming
• QLC develops and manages web applications for use by QLC customers as well as for internal MIS and Data Warehousing
• The duties which this job entails full range of computer programming work mainly using C, C++, PHP, Perl, Shell, Python and Java
• Application developed will interact with database like MySQL, PEAR-DB, PostgreSQL, SQLLite
• Use of structured tecniques and/or object oriented techniques, design patterns for sustem development is a must
• Will be responsible for the Software Architect wnad User interface Design for the projects assigned
• Will lead a team or work independently to develop projects with timely commitment and will report to Project Manager with project status

Skill Sets - Primary

• Excellent database skills with MySQL
• Good command over C, PHP, Perl along with HTML and JavaScript
• Clear programming fundamentals and experience with Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
• Should have working experience on Linux

Skill Sets - Secondary

• Good sense of user interface design and aesthetics of a web application
• Understanding of Web Applications theories and Structural Designs
• Working knowledge of databases like PEAR-DB PostgreSQL, SQLLite.
• Working knowledge of at least two of the following: C++, Shell Scripting, Java, Python, J2ME

Qualifications

• Candidate must be Graduate in any field, preferably with technical background (Graduate / Graduate Equivalent Diploma in software / hardware)

Experience

• At least two years experience in similar position
• May have worked for at least three to four live projects at the service provider level
