Job Description

You would be responsible for development of cutting edge solutions in Java, J2EE , XML and HTML. You are expected to take complete responsibility of a critical area of the product and to make valuable individual contribution to the product. The job involves designing solutions as part of a software product development process. The job has significant technical content and apart from providing design solutions the candidate will need to be hands on in terms of writing code.

Tasks & Responsibilities

Full range of computer programming work using Java either independently or as a project team member

Use of structured techniques and/or object oriented techniques for systems development is a must

Review of logic and make decisions regarding major modifications. May occasionally lead and train lower level programmers

Candidates in senior position will also be required to provide second-line support directly to customers and advise the front-line support team on issues as required

Skill Sets

• Proficiency in JSE Programming covering but not limited to Core Java, JDBC, Servelets/ JSP, Networking/ Socket Programming is a must
• Good command over HTML and JavaScript is essential.
• Clear programming fundamentals and experience with Object Oriented Programming and Design Patterns
• Knowledge / Familiarity of Internet protocols like HTTP, LDAP, POP3, SMTP, IMAP and FTP will be added advantage

Qualifications

• Candidate must be Graduate in any field, preferably with technical background (Graduate / Graduate Equivalent Diploma in software / hardware)
• May be relaxed, so long as you are a great programmer

Experience

• At least two years experience in similar position
• May be relaxed if you have done some exceptional development projects
• Freshers with exceptional skills will also be considered
